Thermal Imaging Surveys

With a wealth of experience garnered over the last 30 years, we use Thermal Imaging as one of our tools to trace leaks and to determine the causes of condensation. Thermal Imaging can also be used to find many building defects, such as missing insulation or roof defects. As part of our arsenal of tools and methods used in building pathology, we are able to diagnose problems that it may not even be possible to see. Insurers, loss adjusters, and building surveyors, accept using these methods as a tool to resolve claim problems, allowing us  to take your headache away, meaning you can return to normal life, while we sort out the problems.  Thermal Imaging has to be done under certain conditions, especially if external images are required. A dry, still day with low sunlight is the best. If a comparison between inside and out is required then generally a temperature difference of 10°C is required so that the images are sharp. Thermal imaging used correctly can be a useful tool in building pathology, and for tracing leaks, missing insulation, faults in roofs, radiators that don't heat up correctly and for tracing pipework. Thermal imaging can also be used to check if the conditions are present for condensation to occur. Advantage Restoration can help you with all these methods which are recognised by insurers, loss adjusters, and building surveyors, as a tool to resolve claim problems. Call us now to advise.
